in the elephant’s garden

In the elephant’s garden

Welcome
to this space, Luke

Thank you

How’d you get here?

I came by mushroom
How about you?

By meditating

Would you like to see my garden?

I’d love too

And off they went,
Luke and Elephant,
to explore

♫ ♫ ♫

Is that a sandalwood tree?

Sure is, Luke

It smells great
Mind if we stop here for awhile?

Not at all
It’s about time for my nap anyway

Yeah, mine too

Goodnap, Luke

Goodnap, Elephant

And so they lay down
beneath the sandalwood tree
and began to dream
within the dream

♫ ♫ ♫

And when they rose,
Luke and Elephant continued
their walk around the garden,
stopping now and then
to hang out with a tree

Hey, Elephant
How old are you?

I’m timeless, Luke,
and so are you

Yeah

This a place where time slows down
and then disappears
We’re on the edge of emptiness,
on the edge of a dream,
on the edge of thought
between illusion and reality

Yeah

Wanna go watch clouds?

That’s exactly what I want to do

And so Luke and Elephant walked over to a meadow,
lay down on the grass
and watched some clouds dance by

♫ ♫ ♫

Hey, Elephant
How did you escape from the dream?

I went through the elephant door

Cool
Is it like a big dog door?

It’s the biggest door imaginable, Luke,
and it’s always open

Where is it?

You’re on the threshold right now, Luke
You just have to quieten your mind
until you can hear infrasound
Then evaporate
and become like a cloud,
ever present,
ever changing,

yet at times without form
Be a cloud, Luke
Just be

In tune with the universe,
Luke began to move
like a cloud
beyond the limits
of imagination,
and then he began to levitate
in the void

♫ ♫ ♫

Luke returned
to moolamaya,
to polyrhythmic thunder,
as thirteen elephants came running
for a visit

Hey, Elephant
Are those your friends?

I hob nob with them
now and then,
but mostly I spend my moments
alone

Tonight we’re going to have some grass
and then make a stomping circle
You can join us if you like

That’d be awesome!

So Luke and the elephants had some grass
and then began to stomp around,
until the circle lost its form
and they all began to dance and leap
and sing

♫ ♫ ♫

Moolamaya, man

Moolamaya, Luke
Enjoy the pleasures of illusion
and remember how to get home
